Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Asphalt Paving Crew Member to join our construction team. This role involves working on roadway and infrastructure projects, contributing to the successful completion of paving operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy equipment and construction site activities, demonstrating reliability and a strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist with utility locating and site preparation to ensure safe and efficient paving operations
- Perform paving tasks, including spreading, leveling, and compacting asphalt in accordance with project specifications
- Support construction activities by setting up equipment, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring quality control throughout the process
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Skills
- Proficiency in utility locating and understanding of construction site safety protocols
- Knowledge of paving techniques and construction practices related to asphalt installation
- Familiarity with Caterpillar machinery or similar heavy equipment brands is preferred
- Strong understanding of construction site operations and safety standards
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks efficiently
- Prior experience in construction or asphalt paving projects is highly desirable
