The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to the HR Department, Lead Paralegals, and firm leadership by assisting with employee benefits, performance management, recruitment and onboarding, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, supporting employee relations, and managing and assisting with various HR operational functions. This position requires at least 3 years of experience in Human Resources with experience managing employee benefits and workplace compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Support the HR Manager and Lead Paralegals with employee relations, performance management, policy administration, and day-to-day HR matters.
- Support HR recruitment and onboarding tasks including participation in interviews and assistance with orientations, onboarding.
- Assist with administration of employee benefits, including enrollment, employee communications, broker coordination, and periodic benefit audits.
- Assist with workers' compensation, leave administration, and other employment-related compliance requirements.
- Coordinate HR compliance activities, including labor law postings, employment documentation, and regulatory requirements for existing and new office locations.
- Maintain and update employee handbooks, policies, and HR procedures.
- Support onboarding, offboarding, and employee record management.
- Monitor changes in employment laws and assist with implementation of compliant HR practices.
- Participate in HR projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related administrative support role.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of employment laws, employee benefits, and HR best practices.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with HR/HRIS software/systems.
- Discretion with confidential information.
- Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
- Experience with benefit administration preferred.
- Experience supporting multi-state operations preferred.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
