Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated <PERSON>/painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing touches that enhance both residential and commercial properties. Your expertise will ensure high-quality results that meet client expectations and safety standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces meticulously by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Execute residential and commercial painting projects using hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and conventional spray equipment for efficient coverage.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and schematics to accurately follow project specifications and color schemes based on visual color comparison and color theory principles.
- Apply various coatings including primer, paint, stain, varnish, and industrial coatings while adhering to safety regulations and using respiratory protection as required.
- Perform surface repairs such as patching holes, repairing stucco or masonry surfaces, and restoring damaged areas during renovation projects.
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling waste disposal of paints and chemicals and ensuring all tools are well-maintained for optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members on installation of fixtures, trim carpentry, framing, drywall finishing, masonry work, and other related tasks to support comprehensive project completion.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting with a strong understanding of surface preparation techniques and finishing methods.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, welding equipment, and other relevant tools used in construction painting.
- Familiarity with safety regulations including proper use of respiratory protection, fall protection measures, and hazardous material handling.
- Experience working on construction sites with a solid understanding of renovation processes involving plastering, caulking, framing carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, and fixture installation.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary during project planning and execution.
- Ability to read schematics and technical documents related to industrial or commercial painting projects.
- Strong communication skills for interpreting blueprints or schematics with team members or clients.
- Valid construction site experience with knowledge of restoration techniques and maintenance procedures is preferred.
