Job Summary
We are looking for an attentive and professional server to join our front-of-house team at Blueberry Hill Market Cafe in New Lebanon, NY. This role is central to delivering an enjoyable dining experience — from taking orders accurately to anticipating guest needs throughout the meal. We are looking for someone who takes hospitality seriously and works well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests, present menus, and guide them through food and beverage offerings
- Take and relay orders accurately to the kitchen and bar
- Deliver food and beverages in a timely and professional manner
- Monitor tables throughout the meal and respond to guest needs proactively
- Process payments accurately and efficiently
- Maintain knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and allergen information
- Collaborate with bussers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
- Complete side work and opening/closing duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Prior serving experience in a restaurant setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tables and prioritize effectively during busy service
- Professional demeanor and genuine commitment to guest satisfaction
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must meet New York State minimum age requirement to serve alcohol (18+)
