We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in Basking Ridge, NJ . The ideal candidate will assist physicians and nurses in providing high-quality patient care, manage clinical and administrative tasks efficiently, and ensure a smooth patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Record patient history, vital signs, and other important health information.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens (blood, urine, etc.).
- Maintain and update patient records accurately in the EMR system.
- Handle appointment scheduling, billing, and patient follow-ups as needed.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use.
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain strict patient confidentiality.
- Support front-desk operations when necessary (calls, insurance verification, etc.).
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
- Compassionate and professional attitude toward patients and staff.
