About The Winchester Cafe
We're looking for three friendly, energetic part-time waiters/waitresses to join our front-of-house team. Good Food. Good Folks. Good Times. That's not just our tagline, it's how we run things every day at The Winchester Cafe on Main Street in downtown Winchester, Kentucky.
The Role
As a Waiter/Waitress at The Winchester Cafe, you'll be the face of our restaurant, greeting guests with genuine Southern hospitality, taking orders accurately, and making sure every customer leaves happy and full.
What You’ll Do
- Greet and seat guests promptly with a warm, welcoming attitude
- Take accurate food and drink orders and enter them into the POS system
- Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner, checking in on guests throughout their meal
- Answer questions about menu items, specials, and ingredients
- Handle payments and process checks accurately
- Bus and reset tables quickly between guests
- Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are correct and on time
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area throughout each shift
What We’re Looking For
- Previous serving or customer service experience preferred, but not required
- A friendly, outgoing personality and genuine love of hospitality
- Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy shifts
- Reliable availability, including some mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry loaded trays
- A team player who works well with kitchen and front-of-house staff
- Must be 18+ (or meet state requirements for serving, if applicable)
