Job Summary

As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting café environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages according to standard recipes.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and taking their orders accurately.
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions with precision, ensuring accurate cash handling practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
- Engage with customers to promote sales and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Uphold health and safety standards in food preparation and service.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Proficient in retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems and cash registers is preferred.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and processing payments accurately.
- Knowledge of coffee types, brewing methods, and café culture is a plus.
- Sales skills to effectively promote products and enhance the customer experience.
