Position Summary: The Policy Management Coordinator is responsible for oversight of all GHRC policies and ensuring the integrity of the GHRC policy management framework. This role works closely with Compliance, Risk Management, Quality Management, and the OMI Director and is responsible for guiding the overall development, review and approval processes for policies that apply to Gila River Health Care entities. This role will require flexibility and adaptability as GRHC implements a universal policy management system across the enterprise.
Critical Tasks:
- Provides direction and support to all policy management users.
- Provides oversight to policy management users for policy and procedure creation, review, approval, and publishing of policies as well as ongoing policy maintenance processes.
- Communicates and interacts with policy management users to maintain appropriate knowledge base of information relating to the policy management software.
- As the policy framework and management subject matter expert, provides guidance in the form of training workshops, and 1-on-1 encounters to policy management users.
- Support compliance with regulatory requirements by guiding the document control process and conducting systematic reviews to ensure policies meet GRHC guidelines.
- Schedule policy review meetings with appropriate leadership.
- Assists staff with program activities to ensure regulatory requirements and accreditation standards are met.
- Performs other job-related activities as requested.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business or a related field preferred.
- 4 years of experience in accreditation, compliance, quality management, and/or project management
- Solid understanding of policy requirements for Critical Access Hospitals, Ambulatory Care providers, Long Term Care Facilities and Dialysis within six months of hire
- Demonstrated ability to organize information
- Demonstrated ability to plan and facilitate committee meetings
- Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficiency with Visio or other tool used to represent data diagrammatically preferred
- Demonstrated track record of being highly self-motivated, organized and demonstrate ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities.
