Position Summary
The Speech-Language Pathologist provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to children with speech, language, and communication needs. The SLP collaborates with teachers, occupational therapists, behavior analysts, and families to deliver integrated services within preschool classrooms, individual therapy sessions, and community-based settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (therapy plans).
- Deliver therapy in individual, small group, and classroom-integrated formats.
- Support children with communication devices (AAC) and alternative methods.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate speech goals into classroom routines.
- Maintain accurate records for progress notes, Medicaid/insurance billing, and compliance with Montana Board of Speech-Language Pathology regulations.
- Provide training and consultation for staff and families to support communication strategies.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Montana state license from the Montana Board of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (or CFY status with supervision).
- Experience with early childhood and autism spectrum disorders preferred.
- Familiarity with Medicaid/insurance documentation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
