Job Description
What You Will Be Doing:
Managing the functionality and efficiency of a group of servers running on one or more operating systems.
Maintaining database integrity and security, configuring role-based access control (RBAC), and setting up administrative accounts.
Setting up administrator and service accounts.
Maintaining documentation for configurations, standards, and procedures.
Interacting with users and evaluating vendor products.
Developing and monitoring policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
Developing and implementing testing strategies and documenting results.
Providing advice on performance tuning and training to end-users.
Maintaining current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
Evaluating open-source or vendor tools and participating in database migration/special modernization projects.
Collaborating with developers on schema design, query optimization, and stored procedures.
Planning and executing database upgrades, patching, and migrations.
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills
Must Have:
MUST HAVE a Current and Active Top Secret SCI with Polygraph, as the customer is NOT sponsoring clearances.
Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
5 + years of related database analysis and/or administration experience.
PostgreSQL experience.
CompTIA Security+ or equivalent.
Experience in PostgreSQL administration/tuning; including knowledge and implementation of database high-availability solutions and performance tuning.
Experience in monitoring, creating, and managing PostgreSQL server agent alerts.
Experience with Database backup, restore, migration, and Database snapshot technologies/strategies.
Knowledge on how to build/maintain efficient database table structures for both transactional and warehouse data.
Migration experience with Oracle, MySQL, and PostgresSQL.

Compensation & Benefits: This position has an anticipated salary range of $112,840 - $142,600 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, skills, education, certifications, and business needs.
