Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Member Services Representative to join our team. As a Member Services Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members, processing various financial transactions, and promoting our products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to all members in person, by phone and through digital platforms in a friendly and professional manner. Resolve members inquiries, complaints, and issues efficiently, ensuring all their needs are met and their questions are answered.
- Open & Close Accounts: Guide members in opening new checking, savings, CD, IRA, and credit card accounts. Cross-sell members and educate them on the various products and services available.
- Account Servicing: Process address changes, order checks, debit and or credit cards. Assist members with setting up, navigating, and troubleshooting online banking, bill pay and mobile apps.
- Financial Transactions: Process various financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan and credit card payments, and wire transfers. Assist members with account and balance inquiries and account maintenance.
- ACH: Responsible for ACH processing and posting,while working exception report and processing returns.
- Balance Drawers: Ensure cash drawers balance at the end of the day and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Compliance & Security: Maintain compliance with all credit union. policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements including NCUA, BSA, AML, FINCEN, OFAC. Exercise good risk management practices and fraud prevention. Examine checks for proper endorsements.
- Other Duties: Assist in other departments as needed and perform other duties as requested and assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience: Previous customer service experience in a credit union or bank preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to member satisfaction. Ability to utilize company software with skill and proficiency.
Salary Range:
- $20.00 - $26.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications
