We're partnering with a major player in the education space and are seeking English Language Arts (ELA) Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support the review and evaluation of high-quality instructional materials. This is a unique opportunity to help ensure educational content reflects evidence-based literacy practices and meets the highest academic standards.
Key Responsibilities
As an SME, you'll provide expert feedback through a brief, targeted survey process. Your expertise will help ensure:
- Use of current and appropriate literacy terminology
- Alignment with the Science of Reading (SoR) and evidence-based literacy practices
- Accuracy of Reading Language Arts content
- Alignment with current instructional best practices and high-quality curriculum standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Education, Reading, Literacy, Curriculum & Instruction, English Education, or a related field (required)
- At least 5 years of experience teaching Reading Language Arts/English Language Arts within one of the following grade bands: PreK–2, Grades 3–5, Grades 6–8, or Grades 9–12
- Demonstrated expertise in the Science of Reading (SoR) and evidence-based literacy instruction
- Extensive experience in instructional design, curriculum design, or curriculum coaching, preferably at the district or state level
- The majority of professional experience should be in Florida, California, or New York
- Creativity and passion for developing high-quality educational materials
