We are seeking a structured, results-driven Service Manager to oversee front-of-house operations and lead our service team.
Job Summary
The Service Manager is responsible for the daily execution of guest service, staff supervision, and operational efficiency across all entertainment and hospitality departments. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role requiring exceptional multi-tasking abilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong operational background in hospitality or entertainment management, with a proven track record of managing labor costs, maintaining facility standards, and driving team performance during high-volume peak periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Direct daily floor operations, ensuring seamless transitions between the bowling lanes, arcade, and food & beverage areas. Maintain a strict standard of facility cleanliness, safety, and presentation.
- Staff Management & Accountability: Recruit, onboard, train, and manage performance for all front-of-house personnel (hosts, lane attendants, bartenders, servers, and arcade staff). Enforce company policies, steps of service, and uniform standards consistently.
- Financial Stewardship: Manage daily labor budgets by analyzing guest traffic and proactively adjusting staffing levels to meet profitability targets without compromising service metrics.
- Event & Banquet Execution: Collaborate with the Sales and Events department to ensure corporate events, buyouts, and large parties are executed precisely according to contract specifications.
- Guest Relations & Guest Recovery: Serve as the primary point of escalation for guest inquiries and complaints. Resolve issues professionally and systematically, utilizing established guest recovery protocols.
- Compliance & Cash Handling: Ensure strict compliance with local liquor laws (TIPS/RAMP), health department regulations, and OSHA standards. Oversee safe drops, cash drawer reconciliations, and daily financial reporting.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 3+ years of restaurant, hospitality, or entertainment center management experience in a high-volume facility ($3M+ annual revenue preferred).
- Leadership: Strong command presence with the ability to manage, hold accountable, and motivate a large, diverse hourly workforce.
- Financial Literacy: Solid understanding of P&L statements, labor cost management, and inventory control.
- Systems Proficiency: Experience utilizing modern POS systems, reservation/waitlist software, and labor scheduling tools.
- Logistics & Organization: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage complex logistics across multiple entertainment zones simultaneously.
- Availability: Open availability is mandatory. The position requires regular weekend, evening, and holiday shifts, aligned with peak business demands.
