Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Catering Event Manager to oversee our catering operations and ensure the highest level of service for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in event planning, customer service, and hospitality management. This role requires excellent organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining a keen eye on budgeting and quality.
Duties
- Develop and implement catering strategies to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate all aspects of catering events, including menu selection, staffing, logistics, and setup.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms for catering services.
- Manage event marketing initiatives to promote catering services and increase bookings.
- Upsell additional services and products to clients during the planning process.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving any issues that arise during events.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and presentation of food items.
- Maintain accurate records of budgets, expenses, and event details for future reference.
- Supervise catering staff during events to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service.
- Foster relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Experience
- Proven experience in event catering management.
- Strong background in event planning, project management and management with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes, contracts negotiation, and vendor management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, staff, and vendors.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Experience in banquet services or off prem catering required.
