We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with a strong accounting background and hands-on experience with McLeod Software (mandatory requirement). The ideal candidate will have experience in transportation accounting, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding customer balances
Apply customer payments and reconcile customer accounts
Research and resolve billing discrepancies
Generate invoices, statements, aging reports, and other accounting reports as needed
Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation
Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations
Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and financial summaries as requested
Support the Accounting Department with additional administrative and financial duties
Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information
Requirements:
Previous accounting experience required
McLeod Software experience is a MUST
Experience in transportation/logistics accounting preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
