Job Summary
We are seeking a Component Repair & Refurbishment Technician to support the inspection, repair, testing, and refurbishment of components returned from service. This role uses basic hand tools, shop equipment, and inspection methods to evaluate component condition, identify repair requirements, perform or coordinate corrective actions, and ensure components meet established quality, performance, and regulatory requirements before being returned to customers or placed back into inventory.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect returned components to determine condition, damage, wear, and repair requirements.
- Perform basic repair, refurbishment, adjustment, cleaning, and rework activities using hand tools and onsite equipment.
- Disassemble and reassemble components in accordance with approved procedures and technical documentation.
- Review work instructions, drawings, specifications, manuals, and repair documentation.
- Perform functional and visual inspections to verify component condition and workmanship.
- Use measuring and inspection equipment to verify dimensions and component requirements.
- Identify defective, damaged, or non-conforming components and document findings.
- Perform troubleshooting and basic root-cause analysis when repair issues are identified.
- Coordinate repairs or specialized corrective actions with appropriate internal or external resources when required.
- Maintain accurate repair, inspection, and service records.
- Ensure repaired and refurbished components meet quality, performance, safety, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Follow all company safety procedures, quality procedures, and applicable industry standards.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to repair processes, turnaround time, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Pay: $23.97 - $30.00 per hour
