Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and excellence.
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and refining existing recipes to enhance flavor and presentation.
- Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients efficiently and safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work stations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Support food handling procedures during service, ensuring all safety protocols are followed to prevent contamination.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal assembly and timely delivery of orders.
- Contribute to catering events by preparing large quantities of food with precision and attention to detail.
Experience
Candidates should possess prior experience in a food industry setting, ideally within a restaurant or catering environment. Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is beneficial, demonstrating familiarity with special dietary needs and meal modifications. A strong background in culinary arts, including knife skills, food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices, is essential. Previous kitchen experience involving meal preparation, food handling, and serving will help ensure success in this role. Familiarity with menu planning and working in fast-paced kitchens will be highly valued as you contribute to our team’s culinary excellence.
