Salary Range: $105,000 – $115,000 annually
The Regional Director of Business Development is responsible for driving census growth and increasing revenue across assigned facilities within Washington State. This role focuses on developing strong referral networks, executing regional growth strategies, and supporting the overall financial performance of the region.
Reporting to the Senior Regional Director of Business Development, this position works closely with facility leadership to identify opportunities, implement initiatives, and ensure consistent, sustainable growth.
Growth Implementation
Referral Management
Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with referral sources including hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare providers
Generate a consistent pipeline of qualified admissions
Market Research & Analysis
Conduct market research to identify regional trends, opportunities, and competitive threats
Use data to inform growth strategies and outreach efforts
Collaboration & Leadership Support
Partner closely with Facility Administrators, Directors, and the Senior Regional Director of Business Development
Align regional initiatives with facility-level goals
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Track and report census performance, referral activity, and growth metrics
Adjust strategies as needed to meet targets
Business Outreach & Networking
Represent the organization at industry events, networking opportunities, and community meetings
Promote company services and strengthen brand presence
Sales & Marketing Planning
Compliance
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Marketing, or a related field preferred
5–7 years of healthcare business development experience, preferably in skilled nursing or long-term care
Demonstrated success driving census growth and building referral networks
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with facility leadership and senior management
Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to guide decisions
Willingness and ability to travel regularly within Washington State
Results-driven with a strong focus on growth targets
Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
Initiative-driven with strong problem-solving abilities
Effective collaborator across multiple stakeholders
Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
