Secured Network Solutions Inc. is a well-established, leading voice & data, fire & security, and underground construction company in the Greenbrier area of Chesapeake, servicing all of Hampton Roads. SNS is seeking qualified candidates for the position of a Level 1 Mechanic. SNS has an extended fleet of vehicles and equipment that requires servicing daily. This position would be to assist our lead mechanic. This is a great opportunity for a self-starter and motivated individual seeking a long-term position with opportunity for advancement.
In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicle types and equipment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your automotive repair skills while working in a fast-paced environment that values safety, precision, and customer satisfaction.
Duties :
Assist the lead mechanic with vehicle inspections and diagnostics using automotive electrical systems and schematics. Support the repair and maintenance of diesel engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspensions, and steering components. Help perform oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacements, and brake repairs. Utilize hand tools and power tools to disassemble and reassemble vehicle components accurately. Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed. Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and understanding vehicle wiring diagrams.
- Experience with diesel engine repair, transmissions, powertrain components, and suspension systems.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and techniques for troubleshooting complex issues.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance devices safely and effectively.
- Clean background and driving record-must be able to be covered by SNS's insurance carrier.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
