Legacies, LLC. of Winona is on the hunt for qualified, full-time or part-time, Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join our team! Perfect for those in school, looking for long-term, wanting supplemental work, or those just wanting to gain experience. Legacies is exceptionally flexible and will build your work schedule around your availability!
Legacies, LLC. is a proud provider of Individualized Home Supports (IHS) and Community Residential Services for adolescents and adults with mental health diagnoses and other disabilities in the community through 1:1 supports. Legacies helps people in the areas such as behavior modification, homework, hygiene, chores, appropriate social interaction, community safety, financial training, and health and fitness among many other areas that encourage accountability, independence, and safety.
Wage: $17-$18/hour
Hours: Mon-Sun openings available, Days/Evenings/Overnights, Full-time and Part-time, extremely flexible - WE WORK WITH YOUR AVAILABILITY!
DSP responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Build and maintain healthy relationships with staff, families, and individuals served.
- Follow daily program plans and other programs written for each individual served.
- Provide positive support to individuals under your care and actively participate in activities such as walking, cooking, cleaning, etc.
- Document as instructed for every shift including hours worked, mileage, and expenses.
- Provide transportation to individuals as determined by the team and Manager.
- Communicate the individual’s progress and activities to Managers, Guardians, and other staff.
- Come to work prepared to participate in the day’s activities.
- Attend all trainings and staff meetings as scheduled.
- All other duties as assigned and/or required of the individual receiving services.
DSP requirements include, but are not limited to:
- HSD or GED highly preferred.
- A valid Driver's License and vehicle is preferred, but not required.
- Must maintain flexibility in schedule to meet the needs of the individual at least 10 hours per week.
- Must possess excellent communication and punctuality skills.
- Be resourceful, respectful, and professional.
- Maintain a positive attitude.
