Shop Foreman is responsible for Supervising and mentoring shop technicians and staff. And promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.
Shop Foreman Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the shop staff and equipment, ensuring that all operations are being carried out in accordance with company policies and safety regulations
- Ensure that production is running efficiently and that all materials and products meet quality standards
- Train and supervise shop staff, providing guidance and feedback as needed
- Monitor the progress of projects and ensure that deadlines are met
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise
- Implement new processes and procedures as needed
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of operations
Shop Foreman Requirements and Qualifications
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Able to motivate and manage personnel
- Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards
- Knowledge of shop equipment and tools
- Able to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently
Additionally
- 3+ years of experience in shop or service Lead tech and or Shop Foreman, preferably in Diesel repairs
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Technical knowledge of diesel systems and repair procedures.
- Proficiency in shop management software and basic computer skills.
- Valid driver’s license, CDL plus
