Ascendant New York is a free-standing boutique detox, inpatient, and outpatient facility located in Midtown Manhattan. Ascendant New York is looking for a full-time LCSW to be the designated Clinical Supervisor for our Outpatient programs, which include Outpatient Day Rehabilitation (PHP), IOP and Outpatient.
Clinical supervisor- Outpatient Programs
We are seeking a Clinical Supervisor to provide leadership and oversight for our Outpatient clinical team. The Clinical Supervisor will ensure high-quality care through supervision, training, and adherence to ethical and professional standards. This role combines direct supervision with program development and occasional clinical work.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide weekly clinical supervision to licensed and pre-licensed staff, case managers, and interns.
- Oversee and monitor clinical documentation for compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Support staff development through coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure evidence-based practices are integrated into programming.
- Assist with program development, curriculum planning, and outcome evaluation.
- Collaborate with leadership on policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide crisis consultation and clinical guidance as needed.
- Maintain a small caseload of clients and/or facilitate groups as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in social work field required.
- Current clinical license in NY. LCSW required
- Approved supervisor status (or ability to obtain) preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health treatment.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment models (CBT, MI, DBT, trauma-informed care, etc.).
- Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Salary Range- $105-$115K
