The Banquet Server is responsible for all table service duties as well as prep work and closeout tasks.
- Assists with banquet room and table prep prior to events.
- Assists with food/buffet preparation before and during the event.
- Ensures safe food handling guidelines are followed by self and team members.
- Delivers food from the kitchen and/or prep area in a timely manner.
- Serves appetizers and plated dinners to guests.
- Takes drink orders and serves beverages.
- Responds to guest questions and/or requests in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Assists with post-event clean up, inventory, food storage, and tear down.
- Works as a member of the team, communicates with team members and supervisor to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
- Keeps direct supervisor promptly informed of key/significant issues or concerns.
- Carries out duties and responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a safe work environment and surrounding area for oneself, co-workers and public. Responds to hazardous situations and/or potentially unsafe conditions by taking corrective action as capable and promptly notifying supervisory personnel.
- Performs related duties as assigned or apparent.
Requirements:
- Previous serving experience preferred.
- Must complete Serve-Safe program after hire.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, including employees and the general public.
- Ability to speak and write clearly, concisely and persuasively using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation with ability to communicate one-on-one or in group settings.
- Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and organization.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Ability to perform with considerable independence and initiative.
Work Schedule: Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
