Our practice focuses primarily on maritime personal injury cases, while also handling motor vehicle accidents, premises liability claims, and other serious injury matters.
Position Overview
Shlosman Law Firm is seeking a part-time Personal Injury Litigation Attorney with at least five years of experience in personal injury litigation. Experience with maritime injury cases, including claims involving the Jones Act, General Maritime Law, and the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, is strongly preferred.
This position is ideal for an experienced attorney who wants to continue practicing law in a meaningful litigation role while maintaining a flexible schedule. It may be especially well-suited for a stay-at-home parent or an attorney balancing professional work with family responsibilities. The position requires a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week, but the schedule is flexible and can be structured around the demands of a busy home and parenting schedule. The minimum commitment of 20 hours per week will be in the office.
The attorney will assist with litigation tasks, case strategy, client communications, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and other aspects of personal injury and maritime injury cases. The attorney will not be required to conduct depositions, attend court proceedings or participate in trials, unless the attorney desires to do so. The ideal candidate will be organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
This position also presents unique entrepreneurial potential. Attorneys who demonstrate initiative and the ability to originate business will find that there is no ceiling to their earning capacity. At Shlosman Law Firm, compensation can grow in direct proportion to the value you bring, making this an excellent opportunity for a motivated, business-minded attorney seeking flexibility without stepping away from the practice of law.
