Position Summary
We are looking for a motivated Manufacturing Technician who wants to build a long-term career in manufacturing.
You will work alongside experienced team members preparing components for laser welding, learning laser welding techniques, assembling products, and supporting production throughout the factory.
No laser welding experience is required.
A positive attitude, reliability, mechanical aptitude, and willingness to learn are far more important.
ResponsibilitiesLaser Welding Support
- Prepare components for laser welding
- Fixture and clamp parts
- Clean and inspect weld surfaces
- Learn laser welding processes under supervision
- Perform simple production welds as training progresses
- Inspect completed welds
- Grind and finish welded components when required
Manufacturing
- Assemble finished products
- Assemble subassemblies
- Deburr machined components
- Clean and polish parts
- Operate basic manufacturing equipment
- Package finished products
- Assist with inventory organization
- Receive and stage materials
- Maintain organized workstations using 5S principles
Quality
- Follow work instructions
- Perform visual inspections
- Report quality concerns immediately
- Help maintain Grover's high manufacturing standards
Qualifications
Required:
- Mechanically inclined
- Able to read tape measures and basic measuring tools
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Reliable transportation
- Positive attitude
- Desire to learn skilled manufacturing
Preferred (Not Required)
- Manufacturing experience
- Assembly experience
- TIG welding
- MIG welding
- Fabrication experience
- Machine shop experience
- Blueprint reading
- Forklift certification

What Success Looks Like
Within 30 days:
- Understand Grover products
- Assemble products independently
- Prepare parts for welding
- Maintain quality standards
Within 90 days:
- Perform basic laser welds
- Complete assemblies independently
- Maintain production pace
- Consistently produce quality work
Within 2-3 months:
- Independently operate the laser welding cell
- Cross-train throughout manufacturing
- Become a key member of the production team
Pay: $20.39 - $25.58 per hour
