Doctors' Anatomic Pathology Services, P.A. is seeking a Histology Laboratory Assistant for full-time employment. This is typically a 40 hour/week position. Hours are 0200-1000, M-F. Holiday and weekends off. No call.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to: tissue and slide preparation, embedding, microtomy, staining (H&E, special, and immunohistochemistry), coverslipping, labeling, record keeping, quality control, typing, etc. He/she will be expected to observe all safety precautions when handling potential biohazards and chemical hazards.
Minimum qualifications include the ability to: move/lift objects (more than 10 lbs), handle small objects, type accurately, move about indoors/outdoors, familiarity with computer systems, medical terminology, histology procedures, and equipment.
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
