Duties
- Safely load and unload shipments using various material handling equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately utilizing RF scanners and manual handling techniques
- Manage inventory by organizing stock in designated warehouse areas and conducting regular cycle counts
- Operate heavy equipment responsibly following OSHA safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying shipments against documentation and updating inventory records
- Support warehouse distribution activities by loading trucks and ensuring timely delivery of materials
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse to promote safety and efficiency
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, and materials handling
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and load/unload machinery safely
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management systems, and OSHA safety standards
- Manual handling skills with an emphasis on heavy lifting and proper lifting techniques
- Familiarity with RF scanners for order picking and inventory updates
- Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying quantities accurately
- Previous warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for leadership opportunities
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to safety compliance
