Tree Climber/Groundsman/Trimmer
Growing Tree Care and Removal company in Gainesville, GA is looking for an experienced climber/groundsman. If you do not have tree experience, there is no need to apply.
Duties will include but not limited to:
- Spikeless climbing, pruning and removing trees on residential and commercial properties
- Report to office punctually each day prepared to work a full day
- Assist in preparing truck and materials needed for day's work at crew leader's direction
- Help to maintain (clean, sharpen, lubricate) and keep track of all tools and/or equipment used in daily operations
- Perform professional tree maintenance activities as directed by crew leader
- Operate boom trucks, loaders, brush chippers, tractors, power saws, trucks, sprayers, and other equipment and tools
- Be ready and willing to assist other crew members in all aspects of daily activities and shall be capable of taking a leadership role when required
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid driver's license; CDL needed
- Knowledgeable about the daily maintenance and safe operation of all equipment commonly used in tree care
- Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of all knots, ropes and rigging devices used in tree trimming and removal operations
- Must successfully complete a performance review
- Possess physical strength and agility, good balance, good depth perception and the ability to hear verbal instructions from a distance
- Must be able to climb and descent trees using rope and safety saddle
This is a full time position. Must have 3-5 year's experience with verifiable references. We are a drug free workplace.
