Select Equipment Enterprises is expanding its tower crane rental and sales operations throughout North America. With a growing Favelle Favco, Wolffkran, & Potain fleet, strong relationships, and a commitment to becoming a premier provider of tower crane solutions, we are seeking an experienced industry leader to help drive our next phase of growth.
We are looking for a highly connected tower crane professional who understands the New York, New Jersey, and Mid-Atlantic construction markets and can leverage existing relationships to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and establish Select Equipment Enterprises as a preferred tower crane partner.
The successful candidate will work directly with executive leadership and have significant influence over market strategy, fleet expansion initiatives, customer acquisition efforts, and long-term business growth.
Position Summary
The Vice President, Tower Crane Sales & Rentals will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing tower crane rental and equipment sales opportunities with the primary emphasis on the New York, New Jersey, and Mid-Atlantic markets.
This individual will serve as a senior industry representative for Select Equipment Enterprises and will be expected to build strategic customer relationships, generate profitable revenue growth, and help shape the future direction of the company's tower crane division.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute strategic growth plans for tower crane rentals and equipment sales.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities throughout New York, New Jersey, Mid-Atlantic, and key markets.
- Expand relationships with major general contractors, developers, construction managers, and crane users.
- Generate and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Consistently achieve and exceed annual revenue and profitability objectives.
- Identify upcoming projects and market opportunities before competitors.
Sales & Account Management
- Lead all aspects of the sales process from prospecting through contract execution.
- Prepare and present proposals, crane solutions, budgets, and commercial agreements.
- Negotiate rental rates, equipment pricing, mobilization costs, and contract terms.
- Develop long-term customer relationships that drive repeat business and strategic partnerships.
- Maintain accurate forecasting and opportunity management processes.
Technical & Project Support
- Evaluate project requirements and recommend optimal tower crane solutions.
- Review project schedules, crane layouts, site logistics, and operational requirements.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, transportation, erection, operations, and service teams.
- Support customers throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
Strategic Leadership
- Provide market intelligence regarding competitive activity, customer needs, and emerging opportunities.
- Advise executive leadership on fleet investment decisions and market expansion strategies.
- Represent Select Equipment Enterprises at industry events, customer meetings, and trade associations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers on complex lifting and project logistics challenges.
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking a proven tower crane professional with extensive industry experience and a strong network throughout the Northeast construction market.
The ideal candidate possesses:
- Deep knowledge of tower crane rentals, sales, operations, and project execution.
- Established relationships with major contractors, developers, construction managers, and crane users.
- Strong technical understanding of tower crane applications, site logistics, erection, climbing, and dismantle operations.
- Experience negotiating complex equipment transactions and long-term rental agreements.
- A demonstrated history of revenue growth and business development success.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently and drive results.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of tower crane industry experience in rentals, sales, operations, project management, or executive leadership.
- Proven success developing business within New York, New Jersey, and Mid-Atlantic construction markets.
- Established industry relationships with key contractors, developers, and construction stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and close complex equipment transactions.
- Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Travel approximately 50%, primarily throughout the Northeast (NY, NJ and surrounding markets), with occasional national travel as business needs require.
- Valid driver's license and ability to represent the company professionally at customer and industry events.
