Do you enjoy working with tools, mechanical equipment, and being active throughout the day? We are seeking a dependable Utility Worker / Driver to support our growing electric motor and rotating equipment repair facility.
This is not a typical driving job. You will be involved in all aspects of shop operations, including equipment deliveries, sandblasting, painting, cleaning, and assisting technicians with the disassembly and reassembly of industrial motors, pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment.
Mechanical experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
What You'll Do
✅ Pick up and deliver electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, and industrial equipment
✅ Clean, degrease, and prepare equipment for inspection and repair
✅ Sandblast and paint repaired equipment and components
✅ Assist technicians with disassembly and reassembly of motors, pumps, and rotating equipment
✅ Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment
✅ Receive and organize parts, materials, and incoming shipments
✅ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
✅ Perform shop support duties as needed
✅ Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers
What We're Looking For
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work safely in an industrial environment
- Team-oriented attitude
- Previous experience in manufacturing, maintenance, warehouse, delivery, automotive, construction, or mechanical repair is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Safely move equipment weighing up to 75 pounds with assistance or material handling equipment
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in a shop environment throughout the day
- Work around industrial equipment, cleaning solvents, sandblasting equipment, and paint products
- Wear required PPE including safety glasses, steel-toe boots, hearing protection, gloves, and respirators when required

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
