Responsibilities for some individuals:
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
- Monitor vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents’ health and alert healthcare professionals if needed.
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication administration in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary guidelines while maintaining cleanliness in kitchen areas; assist with meal planning when necessary.
- Enhance individuals enhance their physical, emotional, vocational, communication and social skills according to the individual’s needs, abilities and choices.
- Drive residents to appointments, activities, or community outings safely using company vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Engage residents in social activities and recreational programs to promote mental stimulation and social interaction.
- Document daily care activities accurately and communicate effectively with team members about residents’ progress or concerns.
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home & community care settings with a focus on geriatrics or developmental disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of ADLs assistance, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer’s care techniques.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and the use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts.
- Excellent caregiving skills with a compassionate approach tailored to individual needs; experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation; proficiency in CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Effective communication skills for engaging residents positively while collaborating seamlessly with team members and healthcare providers.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
