Position Summary
The Front Retail Clerk is responsible for providing excellent customer service while helping customers select and purchase our products. This position is customer-facing and plays an important role in creating a positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
Responsibilities
· Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, helpful service
· Assist customers with questions about our meats, sausages, smoked products, and other offerings
· Accurately weigh, price, package, and label customer purchases
· Operate the cash register and process cash, credit/debit, and other payments
· Keep the retail area, counters, displays, and coolers clean, organized, and well stocked
· Restock retail products as needed
· Answer phones and assist customers with placing orders
· Take and organize customer special orders
· Help customers with holiday and large meat orders
· Maintain proper food handling and sanitation practices
· Follow all company food safety procedures and HACCP requirements
· Communicate product availability and pricing accurately
· Assist with opening and closing duties
· Work as a team with the butcher shop and production staff
· Perform other duties as assigned

Previous retail, cashier, grocery, restaurant, or food-service experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right person.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
· Ability to lift and carry boxes or products as needed
· Ability to work in a refrigerated/cooler environment
· Ability to bend, reach, and move throughout the retail area
· Ability to safely handle food and follow sanitation requirements
Schedule
This position requires availability during our regular business hours. Weekend availability may be required depending on scheduling and business needs.

Pay: $15.55 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
