The Arc Greater Hudson Valley is a not-for-profit agency dedicated to providing support and services to over 1,800 people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and to their families in Sullivan, Orange and Dutchess Counties, New York. A chapter of The Arc New York, our main offices are located at 162 East Broadway in Monticello, NY.
Our agency offers a broad range of services including Residential Services, Clinical Services, Day Services, Family Support Services, Guardianship Services, Employment Services, Recreation and more. Our mission is to support people with unique abilities to live as valued and contributing members of the community.!
Location: Orange County, NY
Schedule: Hours vary, as needed
Community Habilitation Facilitators provide a community habilitation service to people with intellectual and or developmental disabilities. These services are delivered in the person’s home or in the community and focus on goals the person has established to assist him/her participate in community life to the fullest extent possible. The provider works with one person at a time. The service hours are established by the provider and the person supported, based on a mutual agreement to meet the person’s needs.
Community Habilitation Facilitator Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with individuals that have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, preferred
- Must have valid, clean NYS driver’s license for at least one year
- Smart Phone is required
