We are seeking a motivated and dependable Furniture Delivery Associate to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Safely load, unload, and secure furniture items using appropriate manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Operate box trucks and adhering strictly to and traffic laws.
- Assist customers with the placement and setup of furniture, providing excellent customer service throughout the process.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections on delivery vehicles to ensure safe operation and compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload furniture items carefully to prevent damage, utilizing safe lifting practices and manual transmission driving skills when applicable.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs of deliveries, pickups, and any incidents or damages encountered during transit.
Skills
- Proven warehouse experience combined.
- Experience with delivery driver roles involving lifting, moving furniture, and manual handling in warehouse operations.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients during deliveries.
- Familiarity with route driving using mobile devices or GPS systems for efficient scheduling.
- A valid driver’s license is required for all drivers involved in the role.
