Star of the Sea Catholic School (Virginia Beach, VA) has an opening for an elementary teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.
Successful candidates will foster the mission of the school, adhere to the Diocesan prescribed curriculum, create engaging lesson plans, foster critical thinking skills, implement innovative and differentiated instructional strategies, use 21st century teaching skills including digital learning, make decisions based on ongoing student data, and work collaboratively with the faculty.
The candidate must be organized, possess good communication and interpersonal skills, and maintain an effective and supportive Christ-centered classroom learning environment.
Appropriate degree with a Virginia teaching license with accompanying endorsement is required.
Qualifications:

Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in an approved program for general (Elementary K-5) education preferred.

Computer literate and technologically proficient.

Highly organized and motivated.

Start Date: 2026-2027 School Year (10-month contract beginning August 2026)
Pay Grade: Tidewater Teacher Band
