Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic construction management team. In this role, you will support the overall supervision of construction projects, ensuring that work progresses safely, on schedule, and within budget. You will collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and field crews to coordinate activities, review technical drawings, and enforce safety standards. Your expertise in construction management software, scheduling tools, and safety regulations will be vital in delivering high-quality projects across commercial and federal construction sites. Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily construction site operations, supervising crews and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow
- Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to verify project accuracy and compliance with specifications
- Coordinate project schedules using Primavera P6 or other construction scheduling software to meet deadlines
- Support project managers in budgeting, cost control, and procurement processes including construction estimating and contracts management
- Enforce OSHA standards and federal construction safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel
- Conduct quality control inspections, oversee construction safety management practices, and ensure adherence to construction regulations
- Manage communication between teams by providing clear managerial instructions and supervising team performance on-site
Experience
- Proven experience in heavy civil or commercial construction management roles with a strong background in supervising teams on active sites
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and technical documents accurately
- Familiarity with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera, HeavyBid or similar tools
- Hands-on experience with construction scheduling, project coordination, and managing multiple subcontractors simultaneously
- Knowledge of OSHA standards, federal safety regulations, and best practices for construction site safety management
- Strong skills in managing budgets, estimating costs, and overseeing quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle
- Effective communication skills for managing teams, coordinating schedules, reviewing contracts, and ensuring compliance with all safety protocols

Pay: $62,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
