ENT practice located in Plantation and Fort Lauderdale with 1 physician and 4 physician assistants looking for an experienced bilingual (English & Spanish) Certified Medical Assistant ( NHA, AAMA etc..) who is looking for a full time position. This individual must be experienced, dependable, professional, have strong clinical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy specialty practice.
Responsibilities
Room and prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, triage patients, document patient histories and vital signs, assist the providers with examinations and procedures, prepare patients for In-office procedures and surgery, obtain prior authorizations for diagnostic studies/prescriptions and perform any and all other clinical duties as assigned.
Assist provider in exam rooms and surgical procedures as needed (i.e. wax removal, biopsies, surgical procedures, etc.) obtaining proper consent forms and ensuring proper scope of practice is followed.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum two years of HANDS ON Medical Assistant experience. Comfortable assisting with surgical procedures. Working knowledge of medical terminology. Strong Written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voice. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills. The ability to interact professionally at all times with patients, physicians and team members. MUST have EMR experience. Must be current with your Medical Assistant certification.
License/Certification:
- Certified Medical Assistant (Required)
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
Schedule:
Monday: 8:30-5:00
Tuesday-Thursday: 8:00-4:30
Friday: 7:30-4:00
