ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Barista is responsible for crafting premium coffee and espresso beverages while delivering warm, attentive hospitality. This role combines technical skill, product knowledge, and attention to detail to provide an elevated guest experience while maintaining the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and presentation.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Prepare coffee, espresso, tea, and specialty beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards.

Ensure consistency in beverage quality, including proper brewing, milk steaming, and beverage presentation.

Provide exceptional guest service by greeting guests, taking orders, and offering beverage recommendations.

Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked coffee station, including equipment, ingredients, and supplies.

Operate and clean coffee equipment in accordance with safety and sanitation standards.

Process guest payments accurately and maintain proper cash-handling procedures.

Complete opening, closing, stocking, and side-work responsibilities.

Uphold the restaurant's standards for hospitality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS

1–2 years of experience in an upscale or fine dining restaurant preferred.

Knowledge of coffee, espresso preparation, and specialty beverages preferred.

Strong communication, guest service, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Professional appearance and positive, hospitality-focused attitude.

Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.

Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, including coffee supplies, milk, and equipment.

Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and repetitive hand movements while preparing beverages and maintaining the workstation.

Ability to safely operate coffee equipment and work around hot liquids, steam, and cleaning products.

Ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels.
