Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Senior HVAC Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will lead the maintenance, repair, and installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and related mechanical systems across diverse property types. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and safety standards are met consistently. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical systems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations on a wide range of equipment including boilers, air conditioning units, ammonia refrigeration systems, and appliances.
- Interpret HVAC design plans and schematics to accurately assess system layouts and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Conduct field service operations involving equipment repair, welding, property maintenance, and appliance servicing to ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to repair or replace components such as motors, valves, compressors, pumps, and control systems.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document all work performed for compliance and quality assurance purposes.
- Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely to transport tools, parts, or equipment between job sites while adhering to all safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems.
- Extensive knowledge of construction principles related to HVAC installation and property maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints accurately.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment repair including boilers, refrigeration units (including ammonia refrigeration), plumbing systems, and appliance repair.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with welding techniques and mechanical repairs in commercial or industrial settings.
- Familiarity with HVAC design principles and field service operations involving complex mechanical systems.
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate large service vehicles safely.
