Performs intermediate manual work performing custodial work in the care, cleaning, general maintenance of the Cleveland County Department of Social Services building, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Housekeeper Supervisor. øøMaintaining bathrooms in a sanitary condition; filling tissue, towels and soap dispenser, un-stopping commodes or sinks. Maintaining lobbies, waiting rooms, exam rooms, offices (as needed) in a sanitary condition; sweeps, mops, wipes down chairs, tables, cleans glass, vacuums. Delivering freight to all floors that comes into our building on a daily basis and putting up supplies. Setting up and taking down conference room tables/chairs for meetings and moving tables and/or chairs from one floor to another. Sweeping sidewalks/entrances and removing trash in and around building on a daily basis weather permitting. Locking/unlocking of building as needed.ø
Summary:
Performs manual work performing housekeeping/custodial work in the care, cleaning, and general maintenance for all Cleveland County departments and buildings. Shift will be identified by Maintenance Director and Housekeeping Supervisor based on departmental needs, but will work less than 20 hours per week.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include:
Maintaining lobbies, waiting rooms, offices in a sanitary condition; sweeps, mops, wipes down chairs, tables, cleans glass, dust and vacuums.
Maintaining bathrooms in a sanitary condition; refilling tissue, towels and soap dispenser, un-stopping commodes or sinks.
Moving desks or other office furniture, and file cabinets with assistance from other housekeeping/maintenance staff as needed.
