Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled HVAC System Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and mechanical systems across various property sites. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and safety compliance. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Repair or replace HVAC components such as compressors, fans, filters, thermostats, and electrical wiring.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems and assist with appliance repair when necessary.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to accurately troubleshoot system problems.
- Operate welding equipment for repairs requiring metal fabrication or component replacement.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and system performance logs for compliance and future reference.
- Support property maintenance tasks including field service operations to ensure all systems operate efficiently and safely.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems.
- Proven service technician experience with hands-on equipment repair in construction or property maintenance environments.
- Ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans accurately; familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
- Competence in plumbing work related to HVAC installations and repairs.
- Experience with appliance repair and general maintenance tasks within commercial or industrial settings.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices.
- Welding skills for metal fabrication or repair work; familiarity with boiler operation is advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle if required.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with field service experience; ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments.
