LOCAL SCHOOL SEARCHING FOR A STUDENT ASSISTANT FOR 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR!!!
Candidate must be local to Columbus, Ohio for consideration.
MUST HAVE:
- ASL American Sign Language - basic to intermediate
- Valid Drivers License.
- Vehicle or Transportation.
Essential Functions:
- Assisting Deaf students and classroom teachers in executing programs focused on academics, vocational, independent living, transitional and social growth.
- Will assist persons with blindness and or low vision.
- Tutoring students when difficulties arise.
- Supervising students in classroom cafeteria, hallways, playground, restroom.
- Escorting students to different areas of the school.
- Assisting in emergency situations.
- Assisting students with emotional, physical and personal needs.
- Assisting in day to day.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years as a Home Healthcare Aide or Classroom Student Aide experience.
- ASL Skills
- Degree in Early Childhood Education or Special Education preferred.
- Experience working with autistic or MD children preferred.
- Ability to clear federal background check and drug screen.
- CPR certification preferred.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
