Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Plastic and Paper Material & SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) Manufacturing Manager to lead our production operations for plastic and paper-based materials. In this pivotal role, you will oversee manufacturing processes, optimize supply chain coordination, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure efficient, high-quality output. Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of production activities for plastic and paper materials using advanced manufacturing management systems such as SAP, ERP, and MRP modules.
- Develop and implement production schedules aligned with demand forecasts, inventory levels, and supply chain constraints to maximize efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and process optimization techniques to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
- Oversee quality control processes ensuring products meet stringent specifications through rigorous inspection protocols and quality management systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, logistics, engineering, and quality assurance to streamline operations and resolve production issues promptly.
- Manage plant operations by supervising team leaders, fostering team leadership skills, and promoting a safety-first culture across the manufacturing floor.
- Utilize Excel data analysis and supply chain analytics tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions for process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and company policies while maintaining optimal plant performance.
Experience
- Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment specializing in plastics or paper materials.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing management systems such as SAP or ERP platforms combined with experience in MRP (Material Requirements Planning).
- Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing techniques, Six Sigma certifications preferred, with a track record of process improvement projects.
- Extensive background in production scheduling, supply chain management, and operations management within a plant setting.
- Excellent team leadership skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams and foster cross-functional communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis alongside familiarity with supply chain analytics tools.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to manufacturing equipment used in plastic or paper processing is highly desirable.
- Oversee material requirements planning (MRP) to ensure an uninterrupted flow of raw materials and components needed for production.
- Establish and execute inventory control policies, including cycle counts, ABC analysis, and safety stock levels to minimize holding costs and prevent stockouts.
- Lead shipping, receiving, and warehousing operations to ensure accurate handling and distribution of goods.
