Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Tractor and Equipment Technician, where your mechanical expertise and passion for heavy machinery will drive operational excellence. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on tractors, skid steer, zero turn mowers, trailers, and other heavy equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, tire service, brake repairs, transmission work, and hydraulic system servicing.
- Operate heavy machinery such as skid steer, forklifts, tractor, and trailers to assist in equipment testing or movement within the facility.
- Inspect hydraulic systems, shocks & struts, brakes, alignment components, HVAC systems, and other vital parts to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain detailed service records for all repairs and maintenance performed; communicate effectively with team members and customers about repair status and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working as a dealership technician or in heavy equipment repair with strong mechanical knowledge.
- Must Have valid NC Driver's License
- Must be able to pull and back a trailer
- Hands-on experience with farm machinery, industrial equipment, or automotive repair; familiarity with KOITI or similar brands is preferred.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals; ability to interpret complex electrical diagrams.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and diagnostic devices.
- Knowledge of diesel engine repair, hydraulics systems, transmissions, air brake systems, HVAC components, suspension systems, and tire service.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining high attention to detail during repairs or assembly tasks.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly; previous service technician experience is highly valued. Pay: $15.00 - $35.00 per hour
