We are currently seeking a dedicated, compassionate Medication Technician to join our team at The Blake at Panama City Beach. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, resident-focused, and passionate about providing safe, respectful medication support while enhancing residents’ quality of life.

Primary Responsibilities of the Medication Technician
- Administer medications as prescribed while strictly following safety protocols and state regulations
- Maintain accurate medication records and medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards
- Monitor residents’ vital signs and observe for changes in condition, reporting concerns promptly
- Assist with specialized care tasks such as tube feeding and catheter care when required
- Collaborate with nursing and wellness teams to support individualized care plans
- Provide compassionate support to residents and families, ensuring dignity and comfort
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems to document care and manage medication administration efficiently
- Participate in ongoing training related to medical terminology, anatomy, and caregiving best practices
- Support memory care programming and engagement for residents with Alzheimer’s or dementia
- Promote a safe, respectful, and resident-centered environment at all times
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Current Medication Technician License issued by the state
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or similar healthcare settings preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and medical documentation practices
- Familiarity with senior care, hospice care, home care, or community care environments preferred
- Experience working with individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s, developmental disabilities, or special care needs is a plus
Skills & Attributes
