American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery/LDRP position requiring SC or compact RN licensure and a minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience.

Work in the Labor and Delivery/LDRP unit of an acute care hospital
-
Provide couplet care and support high-risk OB patients
-
Patient ratios of 1:2, 1:1, and 1:3 couplets
-
Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (6:45a-7:15p)
-
Weekend rotation required every third weekend
-
On-call requirement of two 12-hour shifts within a 6-week period
-
No floating required outside of the unit
-
Uses Epic charting system

Uses Omnicell medication dispensing system

Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
-
Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience required

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, and NRP

Preferred certifications: AWHONN Advanced and STABLE
-
Epic charting experience required
-
Experience with couplet care and high-risk OB required
-
Social Security Number and Driver's License required for consideration

Provide postpartum and couplet care for mother-baby patient pairs in an LDRP setting
-
Scrubs are provided by the facility
-
Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
-
Block scheduling may be requested but requires manager approval based on unit needs
-
First-time travelers are accepted for this position
-
Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
-
Local candidates are not accepted; a 60-mile radius rule applies with non-local candidates prioritized
-
All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application for approval based on facility needs

During hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
