About position:
The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure product compliance, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence across the manufacturing site. This role plays a critical part in driving quality performance by implementing robust quality processes, promoting standardization, and leading structured problem-solving initiatives.
Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams, the Quality Manager will ensure quality is embedded throughout the manufacturing process while supporting the organization's strategic objectives in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The successful candidate will be a visible, hands-on leader with a strong shop floor presence and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Management System (QMS):
- Lead the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards, including ISO requirements
- Develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and process documentation
- Ensure process standardization and consistent adherence to product specifications across all manufacturing areas
Customer Quality & Compliance:
- Lead customer complaint management, ensuring timely response, root cause analysis, and implementation of sustainable corrective actions
- Drive customer satisfaction through proactive quality management and continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate internal and external quality audits and ensure effective closure of audit findings
- Maintain strong relationships with customers regarding quality performance and corrective actions
Quality Performance & Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor, analyze, and improve key quality KPIs, including Scrap Rate, Rework, Customer Complaints, and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
- Lead structured problem-solving activities using methodologies such as PDCA, A3, and 8D
- Develop and implement quality control plans, inspection systems, and testing procedures
- Drive preventive actions and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve manufacturing performance
- Promote data-driven decision-making through quality reporting and performance analysis
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Customer Service, and Supply Chain to drive quality at the source
- Support manufacturing teams in identifying process improvements and eliminating quality risks
- Ensure quality considerations are integrated into new processes, product changes, and operational improvements
Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead, coach, and develop the Quality team, ensuring clear ownership, accountability, and capability development
- Foster a culture of quality awareness, operational discipline, and continuous improvement throughout the organization
- Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor (Gemba), actively engaging with production teams to reinforce quality standards
- Provide regular reporting and recommendations to senior management regarding quality performance, risks, and improvement opportunities
Preconditions:
- Proven experience in a senior quality role within a manufacturing environment
- Experience leading and improving Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards and quality management principles
- Experience managing customer complaints, corrective actions, and audit processes
- Strong understanding of quality tools and structured problem-solving methodologies (PDCA, A3, 8D)
- Experience developing quality control plans, inspection systems, and quality performance metrics

Pay: $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
