Lightworks Fiber & Consulting is looking for dependable, motivated individuals to join our team as Fiber Optic Technicians and Splicers. No fiber optic experience? No problem. We provide training and welcome entry-level applicants who are eager to learn and build valuable technical skills.
Fiber Optic Technicians and Splicers play a critical role in the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of fiber optic networks that keep communities connected.
This position may require travel, including air travel, based on project needs. Travel opportunities may include per diem and overtime; however, travel assignments are not guaranteed.

Install, splice, test, troubleshoot, and repair fiber optic cable systems

Interpret maps, construction prints, diagrams, and project documentation

Support the installation and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure

Perform work safely in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions

Participate in an on-call rotation to assist with outages and emergency repairs

Complete project documentation and provide timely communication on work progress

Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in a safe and professional manner

Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and industry best practices

Valid U.S. driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds

Ability to work independently and remain productive with minimal supervision

Basic computer, tablet, and smartphone proficiency

Willingness to work flexible schedules, including days, nights, and mid-shifts as needed

Ability to distinguish colors and read small print

Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
