Location: Remote; Asynchronous online learning program
Salary: $245.00 per student completion of a 20-to-24-week online course. If the student withdraws prior to completion, the teacher will be compensated at a daily rate of $1.45. Teachers will be compensated in the month following course completion or withdrawal.
Teachers are expected to:
- Ability to work with a diverse population of students.
- Provide students with a safe, orderly environment that is conducive to teaching and learning.
- Provide resources to meet student learning needs.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with all stakeholders.
- Record and report student progress.
- Provide a minimum of one (1) synchronous office hour per week, available to student(s) for calls, meetings (virtual) as provided in the AccelerateU handbook.

Job Qualifications
Candidate must have:
- current NYSED certification in content area
- Documented five (5) years teaching experience
- Evidence of proficiency with computer technology
- Evidence of responsiveness to students and all other stakeholders
Candidates should possess a broad skill set of effective teaching and learning to engage learners of all levels, including but not limited to:
- Knowledge of the NYS Learning Standards and Assessments
- Knowledge of curriculum content and accepted methods of instruction
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Promoting equity and culturally responsive practices to create inclusive environments
