The Circle Ten Council is seeking energetic, initiative-taking individuals to serve as District Executives in local communities. This is a sales and leadership career that demands growth in all areas – recruiting youth, raising sustainable finances, and collaborating with top community leaders.

The responsibilities of a District Executive are as broad as the tasks are varied, and no two days are the same. Field staff are typically found in the community rather than behind a desk. Professional Scouting responsibilities are cyclical, and priorities shift depending on the time of year.
- Recruit, train, and motivate the BSA’s adult volunteers.
- Collaborate with community leaders to rally public support for Scouting programs.
- Raise sustainable finances to support council operations.
- Recruit youth participation within the assigned district.
- Assume all other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (required).
- United States citizenship or declared intention to become a U.S. citizen.
- Adult – 21 years of age.
- People-oriented, with the ability to collaborate well with adult volunteers, community and business leaders, and representatives of other organizations.
- Able to work varied hours when necessary, including evenings and 1–2 weekends per month.
- Willing to relocate within the 24 counties of the Circle Ten Council – must live in or near the geographical territory served.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Belief in the BSA and willingness to subscribe to its principles and standards.
- Eligible to receive a professional Scouting commission – a criminal background check will be performed.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.

Salary Range: The minimum starting salary for this beginning leadership position is $52,000. Annual salary adjustments are based on an individual’s merit contributions and overall performance. In addition to a competitive salary, the Council reimburses authorized and approved business-related expenses, including phone and mileage. We also offer a generous, paid vacation and holiday policy.
